RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers and is accountable for execution of the scope of work on schedule
• Leads the engineering and design effort by providing technical oversight and guidance while collaborating with multiple engineering and design disciplines, supply chain management, document control and construction
• Leads the development of technical project documents such as the Design Basis Memorandum (DBM), studies and technical memos
• Monitors and maintains the project schedule and collaborates with project controls and other team members for effective change management
• Reports to the Project Manager on deliverable status, schedule and progress of project and provides input into Month End Reports (MER)
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients and works to identify value-add opportunities for the client
• Attends project meetings, HAZOPs, 3D Model Reviews and records meeting minutes and maintains decision and action logs (D&AL) as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6-8 years experience in a project engineering/coordination capacity
• Minimum 5 years of engineering discipline experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Degree in Engineering from an accredited University
• Registered professional engineer status with APEGA
• On-site construction support and management experience is considered an asset
• Experience with project controls reporting and MS Project is considered an asset
